Meet the Owner
S.M.A.R.T. Fitness Personal Training and Exercise Studio is the brainchild of Debra D. Williams, Ed.D. and she's on a mission to help you get in shape or stay in shape!
Debra D. Williams, Ed.D. is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified personal trainer with more than 20 years of personal and professional experience in the health and physical fitness industry. She is familiar with the different forms of exercise used to improve, maintain, and/or optimize health-related components of physical fitness and performance.
Debra is also a certified Spinning instructor and a former Aerobics and Fitness Assoc. of America (AFAA) group fitness instructor. She is a former licensed Zumba instructor, obtained a "small group" certificate to lead Kettlebell classes, and has taken workshops in nutrition and the foundations of a healthy diet and lifestyle.
Debra Williams is a success story who was at one time 50 pounds overweight with high cholesterol and borderline high blood pressure. After discovering the benefits of hiring a personal trainer to customize exercises for her and recommend a steady fitness and healthy eating schedule, not only did she lose weight, her physical strength and overall well-being improved. In addition to keeping her unhealthy weight off, she was so inspired by her personal training and exercise experiences; she became a Personal Trainer, a Spinning instructor, and a Group exercise instructor! Now she helps others get healthier and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

LaTanya Myers-Boswell was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. She grew up in dance school and was trained by some of the best dance teachers on the east coast. She then moved to Concord, NC where she resided for 11 years and has recently moved back to her hometown. Joy has been purposed as an Instructor in many fitness capacities. Her expertise has touched on every area in the fitness world from dance to personal training. Her portfolio ranges from Water Aerobics to Boot Camp. She has a passion for all facets of yoga. She believes that you can begin to heal at any age and any stage.

Ciara Lucas is a certified personal trainer, SPIN instructor, CrossFit coach, nutrition coach, and a 2x marathon runner. She is extremely passionate about health and fitness, and has been a fitness coach since 2016. Her coaching style is filled with energy and fun, guaranteed to get you moving, sweating, and smiling along the way.

Indoor Cycling Instructor
Eziaku Nwokocha is an American Aerobics Association International (AAAI) certified personal trainer and an avid group fitness and Spinning enthusiast.
She encourages women of all shapes and sizes to accept and become the best version of themselves through the different forms of exercise (muscular strength, cardiovascular fitness, and endurance).
Lynda Shepherd has been practicing yoga for about 8 years. However, she was introduced to yoga about 20 years ago by a friend in the fitness industry. Dr. Chantel Thomson graduated from at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) in May of 2022. She is also a MixxedFit Instructor. She "brings" it every time! Her high energy is contagious. She is actually the one that brought MixxedFit to Philly and to SMART Fitness Studio... and we are forever grateful.
